Eastern part of Nevada is quite beautiful. A lot more green than I would have expected. Caught some sunset as I was leaving Ely. If you look closely, you can see the bug genocide that played out on my windshield and visor. The horror!
This way leads to Utah!

Eventually made it to said state. Nothing for miles and miles then, BAM! Casino. I didn’t bother with a photo. You’ve seen one shitty border casino you’ve seen them all.

After this it got dark. Then I drove through intense windy mountain roads, then blackness. Still 50 miles from Delta, UT! All was well until the “low fuel” light blinked on, the GPS still saying 30 miles to go! I had no bars remaining on my fuel gauge, suddenly the humidity shoots up. Surrounding the road on both sides is wet marsh lands. For some reason that freaks me out. The red light from the warning indicator is ominous, even if it is in the shape of a friendly gas pump. 10 mikes to go for fuck’s sake! Still the Spyder roars on. I eventually pull into this fine establishment…it’s 10pm!

Just some random Sinclair gas station. Turns out they’re not usually open this late, but the rodeo is in town. Yay! Saved me from having to push the bike into town.

Then there’s this dump. Worst campsite ever. No specific tent lots. I pay the same as an RV, no fucking picnic tables, and bathrooms are locked combination locks! I had to cook on the ground after setting up my tent!

At least the wine was PERFECT. Knowing this state I probably broke the law doing it. Fucking Mormons!

I should mention that the entire time I was outside, I became “one” with the insects. This thing flew into my face and after I wet myself a bit, I knocked it off.

That’s it for tonight. I’m bushed.
